Dave Stewart was born in Cleveland OH but grew up in southern West Virginia. Growing up he was an active athlete but focused on track and field until graduating from high school in 1987. Dave then joined the US Army and proudly served his country at Fort Drum with the 10th mountain division. After sustaining an injury he was stationed in his home state of West Virginia in the US Army Reserve until 1995. He then enrolled in Marshall University and is a proud graduate after studying business. He met his wife Trish (also born and raised in West Virginia) on Halloween night 1990 and they got married in 1994.
